At least 27 people have died in a fire that broke out in the western Japanese city of Osaka, the Kyodo news agency reported, adding that the victims were in a state of "cardiac and pulmonary arrest". their doctor has not yet established their death according to the official procedure.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor of an office building in a busy neighborhood near the city's main train station. It houses a clinic, a beauty salon, an English language school and several offices.

According to NHK, before the fire, a 60-year-old man was seen at the scene, who poured liquid from an envelope, after which the fire broke out. Police are currently investigating whether the man was among the victims.
Immediately after the fire, more than 30 firefighters arrived on the scene. The fire was extinguished in half an hour.
