-The main provisions of the law include support for Greek military modernization:

-Promotes the use of assistance from the European Recapitalization Incentive Program (ERIP) for Greece to support Greece's transition from Russian-made military equipment.

-Allots $ 1.8 million annually to Greece's International Military Education and Training (IMET) for the period 2022-2026.

- Expresses the opinion of the Congress that the United States should provide direct loans to Greece for the purchase of military equipment, defense services and design and construction services in accordance with the further development of the Greek armed forces.

- Expresses the opinion of the Congress that the President has the authority to accelerate the delivery of any future F-35 aircraft ordered by Greece.

 The Greek Foreign Ministry noted that "the adoption of the Law on Defense and Interparliamentary Partnership between the United States and Greece recognizes the strategic importance of Greece as a pillar of stability in the region, the United States' commitment to security and prosperity in Greece and the Strategic Partnership The United States.

Following the approval by the U.S. Senate of the National Defense Permit Act (NDAA) of FY22, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez (DN.J.) issued the following statement announcing that he had succeeded in including his A law on defense and interparliamentary partnership between the United States and Greece as an amendment to this year's NDAA, which is now going to President Biden's office for signature.
