US President Joe Biden is preparing a series of initiatives related to Ukraine and Russia, maintaining regular contacts with allies in Europe and Kiev, the US White House leader was quoted as saying by TACC.
"I am in constant contact with our allies in Europe, with the Ukrainians," he said, commenting on the situation around Ukraine. Biden said his national security aide, Jake Sullivan, and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken were "actively involved" in the consultation.
"What I'm doing is putting together what I believe will be the most comprehensive and meaningful set of initiatives that will make it very, very difficult for (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, what people fear he might to do it. But now it's being developed, "Biden added.
Journalists also asked the US president if he spoke by phone with the Russian head of state on Friday morning. "No," Biden replied.
