Germany's presence in Afghanistan could resume work

Germany's presence in Afghanistan could resume operations next year. This is the special representative of the German government for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Asper Wick, in front of the afghan agency Asvaka.

"German security personnel are likely to return to Afghanistan early next year," Wick was quoted as saying. The special envoy of the German government added that at all times "the saltiness of Germany in Kabul can do all its work again."

On Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Paris and a number of other EU parties were negotiating the discovery of a full-fledged diplomatic mission in Afghanistan, without acknowledging the radical Taliban movement that came to power in the country in August.
