Hungary will veto a possible proposal for sanctions against the Serbian member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik. This was warned by the first diplomat of Budapest Peter Siarto through a post on the social network "Facebook", according to the macedonian electronic edition MKD.
The new German Foreign Minister Analena Burbock called for the imposition of sanctions on Dodik, the editorial office reminds.
"We are concerned about such statements because BiH is close to us. Preserving peace and stability in this country is our main security interest. Berlin is further away, but not so far away that a flight to Banja Luka cannot be taken. Go and negotiate. Talk to the Serbs. With them, not for them. Maybe this will help you understand the situation, "Siarto wrote.
He reminded that the European Union can impose sanctions on someone only by a unanimous decision of the member states and stressed that it should be clear to everyone that Hungary will not support any sanctions against Dodik and that it will veto any such attempt.
