In the UK, they plan to confiscate the passports of perpetrators of drug-related crimes

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson plans to launch a ten-year plan to combat drug-related crime, which will include confiscating passports and driver's licenses from offenders, according to the London Evening Standard.

The government is ready to propose various measures to fight crime in the coming weeks, which will include action against gangs and prison reforms to reduce recidivism by helping prisoners find work.

The revision of crime laws will include tougher prison sentences for dealers, curfew at night and travel bans similar to those of football hooligans.

As part of a broader set of measures to combat crime, the prime minister said harassment of women on the street or in pubs could also be banned in an attempt to combat sexual harassment in public.

He told The Sun: "Drugs cause a lot of misery and we can fix it. They will not make you happier. They will not make you more successful. They will not make you more interesting. They are bad things. "

The initiative includes actions to break up gangs that exploit children and increase funding for 50 local authorities most affected by drug-related crime.

Johnson added: "The majority of drug-related crimes are generated by 300,000 heroin and foot cocaine users - people with tragic fates who have lost their lives. You can lock them up again and again and we do, but they come out again and commit a crime again, so we have to rehabilitate them ...

"The country is full of victims of what happened. We will look at new ways to sanction them. Things that will actually interfere with their lives, so we will consider confiscating passports and driver's licenses. "

The prime minister also told the newspaper that public sexual harassment could be banned after the murder of Sarah Everard.

The percentage of convictions for rape and serious sexual crimes could also be doubled, the prime minister added.
