Lukashenko has expressed readiness to halt the transit of natural gas to Europe in response to sanctions

 


 The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has warned that he will be ready to stop the transit of natural gas to Europe, the new Western sanctions put the country in a state of emergency, the state news agency BelTA reports.

"If the sanctions they impose or will impose in the future put us in a state of emergency and we have no way out with other measures, we will use this firm measure," BelTA quoted Lukashenko as saying in an interview with Turkish media TRT.
