Scholz and Erdogan have expressed their intention to coordinate closely on both sides

 


 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had his first telephone conversation since taking office with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was announced to reporters by the official representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Germany, Stephen Hebeshright, quoted by TACC.

"President Erdogan congratulated the chancellor on taking office. Both were unanimous in their intention to continue to closely coordinate the actions of Germany and Turkey. The focus of the conversation was on bilateral and foreign policy issues, "Hebeshright said.
