Sebastian Kurz will start working in the United States

Former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will go to work for a private company in the United States at the end of January. This was announced on Saturday by the Austrian newspaper Osterreich, citing sources close to him.

According to the newspaper, Kurz signed a contract with a private company before Christmas. The former head of the Austrian government will work in the field of investment. His future annual income is estimated at 500,000 euros, the newspaper said. The name of the company is not specified.

He and his family will spend most of their time in the United States, and sometimes come to Austria.

On December 2, Kurz announced his retirement from politics. He resigned as chancellor in October after an ongoing investigation into him on suspicion of complicity in bribery and breach of trust.
