Skender Rexhepi is preparing for deputy speaker of the Macedonian parliament

 

Alternative MP Skender Rexhepi said on Facebook that he would inform Macedonian Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi on Monday that he was stepping down as coordinator of the Alternative parliamentary group and the Alliance for Albanians. Rexhepi, according to Slobodna Pechat, may be the new deputy chairman of the Assembly after Alternativa became part of the ruling majority. The choice for this post will be between Rexhepi and MP Husni Ismanili.

  According to Alternativa, the deputy chairman in parliament is part of a package for the distribution of portfolios between Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Alternative leader Afrim Gashi to bring the party to power.

Based on the new political events and the decision of the Central Assembly of "Alternative", after we as a political entity joined the executive branch and the parliamentary majority, tomorrow I will officially inform the Speaker of the Assembly of Northern Macedonia to resign as coordinator of the parliamentary group "Alternative and the Alliance for Albanians," Rexhepi wrote on Facebook.
