The escalation of tensions around Ukraine is in line with long-term Western tactics

The escalation of tensions over the Ukrainian crisis is being carried out by the West on the basis of tactics used for many years to lobby for their own interests. This was stated on Friday by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on the air of the program "60 minutes" on the TV channel "Russia-1", quoted by TACC.

"This is their (Western) tactic, this is their strategy for decades. "They create a situation of tension, a situation of chaos, controlled, sometimes they lose control of the chaos created by their own hands to lobby their interests," she said.

According to Zakharova, the West uses such tactics because it "cannot remain in the field of legal relations" on equal terms. "Every time more and more ideological and political models are invented to realize this inequality," she added.

A Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said tensions over Ukraine were also escalating in the West, "explaining and rehabilitating" Kiev's non-compliance with the Minsk agreements.

First of all, these are all kinds of exercises, this is the supply of weapons and the use of these weapons in the conflict zone, this is the allocation of funds not for humanitarian but for military purposes <...> and all sorts of tactics to explain and rehabilitate the regime in Kiev, "she said.

Zakharova reminded that Russia is not against US assistance in the implementation of the Minsk agreements from Ukraine, if this assistance is aimed at their implementation. "(Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov) said that if the United States is willing to help Ukraine implement the Minsk agreements to support the protégé, no one is against it," a Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman said.
