The EU believes it has dealt with the migration crisis on the border with Belarus

The European Union believes that it has dealt with the migration crisis on the border with Belarus and "now (President Alexander - TASS) Lukashenko has problems." This was stated on Monday by the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell at a press conference after the meeting of the EU Council in Brussels, quoted by TACC.

"Through diplomatic efforts, we have been able to stem the flow of migrants through Belarus to the EU's borders, who have been deceived by empty promises. Lukashenko has failed to achieve his goal and is now in trouble," he said. "This situation has shown that we are united and we can achieve results. I am satisfied."

Borrell reiterated that the EU continues to support the Belarusian people and a democratic Belarus.
