The Open Balkans can be a machine for the growth and development of the whole of Europe

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with Serbia's Prva TV on Friday night that "Open Balkans" is "the biggest peace project the Balkans have done" and said the initiative, which includes Serbia, Albania and Macedonia, "It can be a machine for growth and development" all over Europe, "the Skopje newspaper Sloboden Pechat quoted him as saying.

I do not understand those who do not want to join the "Open Balkans" (Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina), this is neither a greater Serbia nor a greater Albania, this is only our joint work and struggle to have the right to a future of our choice. "

In an interview, he stressed that his decision not to run for chairman of his Serbian Progressive Party is final and that there are four or five candidates for the post.

Vucic said he was pleased with the reaction of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and much of Albanian society to the burning of the Serbian flag in Tirana.

"And here the flags of Albania were taken down and burned when Rama came, of course it is bad, horror, it is uncivilized to burn foreign flags, but I am pleased with the reaction of Rama and a good part of Albanian society, as well as the reactions to a large part of Serbian society. " He added that Serbia has good and friendly relations with Albania and that Rama is under great pressure because of that, including from Pristina.
