The West's attempts to isolate Russia are doomed to failure

All attempts by Western countries to isolate Russia in the international arena are doomed to failure, said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at an extended meeting of the board of the Russian Ministry of Defense, reports TASS.

"The [Russian] Ministry of Defense is cooperating with the armed forces of 109 countries. "This demonstrates the futility of Western attempts to isolate Russia in the international arena," he said.

According to Shoigu, relations with the CSTO, CIS and SCO continue to develop. "This year we conducted the third joint air and first naval patrol with the People's Liberation Army of China. We will continue this work, "he said. The Defense Minister also stressed that China, India, Algeria, Egypt, Vietnam and Myanmar remain Russia's partners in military cooperation.

The 9th Moscow Conference on International Security was held in June with delegates from 109 countries. "This is the largest military-political event in the world in terms of number of participants," Shoigu said.

According to him, the annual Army Forum contributes to strengthening international military cooperation. It was attended by delegations from 117 foreign countries, and the number of visitors exceeded 1,700,000 people.
