Turkey has sold significantly more Bayraktar drones to Ukraine than official sources say, and new contracts will be signed soon, Bloomberg reports.
According to Bloomberg, citing sources in the Turkish government and the leadership of the arms manufacturer Baykar, Ukraine will receive at least 24 unmanned aerial vehicles. They will be transported in the country in the near future.
"Bayraktar TB2 drones, used for the first time in October to destroy mobile artillery in Donbass, are a valuable element in the promising relationship that has made Turkey one of Kiev's most important sponsors," the newspaper said.
Baykar officials and the Turkish government declined to comment on the number of drones sold to Ukraine so far.
