Two-day meeting of Open Balkans initiative kicks off in Tirana

 


 The President of our western neighbor Alexander Vucic is on a two-day visit to Tirana, where he will take part in a meeting with the Prime Ministers of Albania and Northern Macedonia Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev in the framework of the regional initiative for cooperation "Open Balkans". the Belgrade daily Danas.

The last talks of the initiative's leaders took place on November 4th in Belgrade, and it was announced then that a Memorandum of Understanding on work permits could be signed at the next meeting. This will allow this type of document issued in one of the three countries to be valid in all three members of the Open Balkans initiative.

 On the eve of today's meeting, Zaev, Vucic and Rama wrote an open letter inviting neighboring countries in the region to join the initiative. "It is high time all nations and peoples in the region came together for a better future. The initiative offers stability, peace and a better standard of living for all, "the letter from the three leaders said.
