At a meeting with Ali Ahmeti (the leader of the DUI) we generally discussed two topics, the meeting lasted one hour. The first topic was the dispute with our eastern neighbor (Bulgaria), where I reiterated our theses, the principled position on compliance with the resolution adopted by Parliament. I expressed concern over the fact that the more we give up our negotiating positions, the greater the demands from Bulgaria and thus the negotiating position of the country is destroyed. I personally believe that the principle of kneeling and servility should be abandoned, "said VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristian Mickoski after a meeting with DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, quoted by Skopje-based TV 21.
"We have to show character and we all have to do everything we can to show that character. This is my message. Enough humiliation, enough shame, people are disappointed. Many concessions have been made during these 30 years of independence, and in fact we are still in the lobby and we cannot start this negotiation process, "Mickoski said.
He added that the other topic he had discussed with DUI leader Ali Ahmeti was early parliamentary elections.
