 The embassies of the most influential Western countries and the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) issued a joint statement Friday warninging Republika Srpska (RS) authorities that they are taking steps to escalate a political crisis that threatens the stability of the entire country. region, informs the Skopje TV channel "TV 24".

 Earlier Friday, the Republika Srpska parliament backed proposals by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik to withdraw approval for state defense laws, indirect taxation and the Supreme Judicial and Prosecutorial Council. Immediately after the vote in Banja Luka, embassies of the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and the EU delegation responded with a joint statement saying it was an unacceptable process that undermined the foundations of the Dayton Accords.

 "The decision of the Republika Srpska National Assembly to start drafting a law on parallel institutions in RS is an additional step towards escalating the crisis." "Members of the RS ruling coalition must be aware that continuing on this dead end of the Dayton Accords is damaging the entity's economic interests, threatening the stability of the country and the region and threatening BiH's future in the EU," it said. in the statement.
