This was emphasized by the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Mustafa Sentop from Belgrade, where he arrived for a meeting with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic, Anadolu Agency reports.

"Lasting peace and stability in the Balkans are of great importance not only for the region, but also for Europe and the world," Sentop told a joint news conference with Dacic.

Earlier in the day, Sentop was received by Serbian President Alexander Vucic.

For his part, Vucic emphasized that he would always support the development and maintenance of high-level relations with Turkey.
