"Super-certificate" requirement enters into force in Italy

As of Monday, a requirement for the presentation of the so-called super-covid certificate, reports the electronic edition of the national daily Corriere della Sera. The relevant document will be issued on the basis of evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery from infection and will be used to visit public places such as restaurants, cinemas, theaters, nightclubs.

In addition, the presence of a certificate becomes mandatory for travel by any mode of public transport. However, a basic certificate based on a negative coronavirus test is sufficient for long-distance travel. The same document is still required to enter the workplace and gyms. At the last moment, museums, archives and libraries were removed from the mandatory "super pass", where a basic document with a negative test result is sufficient.

"Superpass" is introduced everywhere at least until January 15, regardless of the color of the region, which determines the degree of epidemic risks. Currently, only the Autonomous Province of Bolzano (which has one of the lowest vaccination rates) and the northeastern Friuli-Venezia Giulia region have been declared yellow zones. There, the "super pass" regime began a week earlier.

According to the authorities, the introduction of such a document allows to preserve the work of all public institutions, as well as the full capacity of theaters and cinemas. New restrictions will be introduced only if the epidemiological situation worsens (in the orange and red zones). And the measure to introduce a "superpass" itself aims to stimulate vaccination.
