 British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has called on her G7 counterparts, who met on Saturday for a two-day meeting in Liverpool, to unite against hostile forces trying to limit the space for freedom and democracy in the world. With these words, the Minister spoke at the opening of the first plenary session, quoted by TACC.

 "We need to demonstrate a positive, proactive approach, increasing our own security and competitiveness and providing the best opportunities to uphold the values ​​we believe in," Trus said, according to Sky News. "We need to protect ourselves from the growing threat of hostile forces and close cohesion in the face of aggressors who are trying to limit the space for freedom and democracy," Truss said, adding that G7 members and other countries sharing democratic ideals must "speak with one voice."
