At a meeting in Liverpool, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed the situation around Ukraine with British and German Foreign Ministers Liz Truss and Analena Burbock, State Department spokesman Ned Price was quoted as saying by TACC.
"Secretary of State Blinken and Foreign Minister Truss stressed the importance of continuing to coordinate US and British actions to deter Russia from further aggression against Ukraine," the diplomat said. He added that the US and German foreign ministers "discussed support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression and agreed that a decisive response is needed in the event of an escalation by Moscow." Both talks took place on Friday, ahead of a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7), which is being held in Liverpool from 11 to 12 December.
