The new government in Skopje will be elected on January 17th, and Zaev resigned by courier

 


 Starting tomorrow, the constitutional deadlines will start, according to which the head of state of the Macedonia is obliged to assign the mandate to the party within 10 days, ie. of the parties that have a majority in the Assembly. The new leader of SDSM, Dimitar Kovachevski, will be nominated for prime minister, and his cabinet will be elected on January 17th, according to the electronic edition of the Macedonian newspaper Sloboden Pechat.

 On Thursday, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi will announce the resignation of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at a parliamentary session today. A senior government official said SDSM leader and future prime ministerial candidate Dimitar Kovachevski will submit the program and composition of the new cabinet to parliament by January 10th, and the government's election has been announced for January 17th.

 According to the editorial office, Zaev will not resign in person, but will send it to parliament by courier. At the parliamentary session, in addition to Zaev's resignation, Xhaferi will also announce that of the vice-president of the legislative body Fadil Zendeli from the opposition party BESA. After that, Xhaferi will close the meeting and no other issues will be discussed, because after the resignation of the Prime Minister, the entire government resigns.
