The Serbian prime minister invited his Russian counterpart

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Bernabic has invited Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin to visit the Balkan republic. She told Tanjug after a meeting with Mishustin in Moscow.

"In all areas of cooperation - political and military - security, energy, infrastructure - we have had a very good and fruitful dialogue. We continue our cooperation. I have invited Prime Minister Mishustin to come to Serbia at any time, it is my pleasure and honor to accept it, "Bernabic said.

Mishustin and Bernabich visited a number of stands at the exhibition "Made in Russia - 2021". During the tour, they communicated with each other not only with the help of translators, but also in English. The prime ministers were accompanied by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and the head of VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov.

"I have confirmed that the policy (of refusing to impose sanctions on Russia) will continue to be pursued by the government. In this sense, President (of Serbia Alexander) Vucic is also clear, we will not succumb to any pressure in this regard. In any case, the expulsion of Russian diplomats from Serbia is not even considered, it contradicts every principle of our foreign policy. We will strive to strengthen and develop this cooperation in accordance with the interests of our country, "Bernabic told the Serbian news agency Tanjug.

"As I said in my speech, Serbia openly says that it is on the European path, but this position of ours in no way threatens our relations with the Russian Federation. "On the contrary, we will work to strengthen political, economic and any other cooperation with Russia," he said.
