Kosovo has banned the holding of a Serbian referendum on its territory

Kosovo will not allow a referendum on changes to the Serbian constitution on its territory, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on his Twitter page, quoted by TACC.

"In a telephone conversation with the EU High Representative (for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy) Josep Borrell, I expressed our attitude (towards the referendum). "Serbs in Kosovo with dual citizenship can vote (only) by mail or at the Pristina Liaison Office," Kurti wrote.

The prime minister writes that Kosovo is a sovereign state and it is impossible to hold a referendum on "another country" on its territory.

A referendum to amend Serbia's constitution in the field of justice will be held on January 16th.
