Putin and Erdogan discussed Russia's proposals for security guarantees

 


 During a telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Russia's proposals for security guarantees, the situation in the Caucasus, Syria and Libya, the Kremlin's press service said, quoted by RIA Novosti

"International issues were also touched upon, including the well-known proposals for the development of legally formalized agreements guaranteeing the security of the Russian Federation, the situation in the Caucasus, the issues of resolving the conflicts in Syria and Libya," the statement said.

 In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed in a telephone conversation their intention to further strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership between Russia and Turkey, the Kremlin's press service said.

"After exchanging New Year's greetings, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan summed up the main results of bilateral co-operation and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the mutually beneficial partnership between Russia and Turkey," the statement said.
