The organizers of the North American Car of the Year 2022 competition (North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year) announced the names of the winners in the three main categories of the race.
After three voting processes and a total of 36 models admitted to the competition, the new generation of Honda Civic was chosen as the winner in the Car of the Year of North America 2022 category.
In the other two categories, the awards are for two all-new Ford products. The first recognition is for Maverick, which was chosen as the North American Truck of the Year 2022, in competition with the all-electric and new Rivian R1T and also the all-new Hyundai Santa Cruz model range.
Ford's revived Bronco was honored in the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year 2022 category after competing with the Genesis GV70 and Hyundai's all-electric IONIQ 5.
