The Greek foreign minister will meet with his Saudi counterpart

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will receive his counterpart from Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, in Athens, the online edition of the Greek newspaper Kathimerini reported.

Bilateral relations in the fields of defense, economy and investment, as well as co-operation in international organizations, are expected to be at the center of discussions.

Developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf region are also expected to be discussed in depth.

This will be the Saudi minister's second visit to Athens in less than a year, after taking part in the Friendship Forum in February 2021.

His visit follows a visit by Dendias and Defense Minister Nikos Panayotopoulos to Saudi Arabia last April and a visit by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in October.
