There are still no conditions for the deployment of additional US forces in Eastern Europe in connection with the situation around Ukraine. This was announced at a briefing by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, TACC reports.
"It depends, as we said earlier, whether there will be a new invasion and whether any NATO ally [deployment] will require additional capabilities. We will consider this request, "Kirby said. "Neither of these two conditions is met," the spokesman added.
"I will not speculate on specific weapons, but so far there have been no requests for positioning or requests for additional military capabilities from our NATO allies," the spokesman concluded.
